Tahoe Nugget #17: Aspen Eye Candy The fall foliage along the eastern Sierra is among the best in the West. This grove of aspen trees can be found in the South Sabrina Lake District in the Bishop Creek Recreation Area. The extremely rugged region is dotted with streams and small lakes that have been dammed by a Southern California utility for hydroelectric power generation. Abundant trout makes the area a fishermen's paradise. Snowstorms often close the access roads in November.
